Use a 3:4 portrait composition unless the original crop needs to be preserved. Place soft golden light behind and to one side of the subject, creating a restrained highlight in the hair and along the shoulder. Keep the face readable with gentle front fill and natural skin colour. Preserve the original setting where possible and make its light and shadows agree with the new sun direction. Use a suitable starting photo
